Definition of Terms¶

Company¶

A company is the entity that defines a business on the platform Each user must belong to atleast one company

Company Types

1. Owner company_type_id=1
2. Supplier company_type_id=2

Company Settings¶

1. Show Tax Pin When this is enabled the system will display tax pin inputs where necessary.

Shops¶

Shops belong to a specific company.

Shop Types¶

1. Supplier shop_type_id=1
2. Normal Shop shop_type_id=2
3. Store shop_type_id=3 - The store serves as the back store for the business that allows receipt of purchases. The store only serves as a container for inventory and cannot be used to make sales and cannot therefore be assigned to a user as a default shop.

Shop Industries¶

Industries are used to categorise products based on the industry to which they belong. Industries are also used to limit the product search boxes. This means that a shop will only be able to see products for industries in which they belong.
